Arch Enemy #1

This hill is my arch enemy #1. Ok that might be an exaggeration, but not too far off. This hill is painstakingly long. It is also in the beginning of my run, about two and a half miles in so I should be able to tackle, it right? I do ok, but curse like a sailor all the way to the top. I sometimes try bargaining too with the hill, but it never listens, it just remains slow and steady. It was a solo run this time, my partner was out of town. I think that adds to the pain, running solo. No one to talk to and since it is on the road, I cannot wear headphones, fear for my life and all.

January 23rd - Running in Snow

So on this snowy Saturday morning, we decided to bundle up and run in the snow. We figured how bad could it be? Well, it was not as bad as we we first feared, but it was much harder than anticipated. We may have slightly overdressed and that slowed us down as well. However, we endured and did I believe 6 miles. We learned that running in the snow is much like running in the sand, except without the ocean as the view. Oh and slightly colder.
